Last night, Twilight star Kellan Lutz issued his first tweet from his brand new Twitter page (@KellanLutz), an account, he states in his bio, that he began “to spread awareness concerning the indigenous charities I care deeply for in hopes of gaining your love and support.”
In the first tweet, Lutz stated, “Every one of us can be a light to this world and make a difference. It’s our time; lets change this world and let our voices be heard.”
Discriminating Twilight fans, who’ve learned the hard way that there are a great many faker accounts for the Twilight cast out there, were cautious about the account’s legitimacy at first, but the page has just been verified as official.
Lutz’s second tweet furthered his bio’s quest by introducing his fandom to some of his favorite charitable causes, “I am 4 NOLA” and the St. Bernard Project.
Right now, Lutz is in New Orleans working on his forthcoming film Love, Wedding, Marriage with Mandy Moore.

Tribeca Film News: Meskada Posted by Holly Filed Under Projects |
 |

Apr. 26, 2010 |
This year’s MVP of that weird little subgenre is Meskada, a small-town crime movie clearly inspired by the work of the Coens and other noir masters, but not remotely equal to any of them. Taking place in a blank kind of American Anywhere, between two nearby towns rife with class tensions, Meskada has a few good ideas marred by any number of mistakes, from casting to production design to the strained performances boasted by nearly the entire cast. It wouldn’t be fair to pick on a film this small and this obviously destined for a limited release if any, but with names like Kellan Lutz, Rachel Nichols, and Meryl Streep’s daughter Grace Gummer in the lineup, it will be getting attention– and you deserve to be warned.

Kellan on Freddy, his castmates and more Posted by Holly Filed Under Interview,Projects |

Apr. 26, 2010 |
Kellen spoke about his new movie, Nightmare on Elm Street and more in a interview with Film Critic
Q: What did you think of the original Nightmare on Elm Street?
A: You know, growing up, Freddy Krueger was the only thing that scared me. I have three older brothers who picked on me, and they did anything to beat me up, but Freddy was the ultimate freak factor. Because Jason from Friday the 13th or Chucky — they were kind of funny. I even had a Chucky doll. But something that attacks you in your sleep? [Shivers]
Q: And how does the new Freddy measure up?
A: Jackie Earle Haley is amazing at what he does as Freddy Krueger. He helps make this a really scary movie. It’s a great psychological thriller. I do die. Uh-oh, spoiler! [Laughs] But it’s a really cool death scene, and I’m in a scary movie that scared me growing up, so that’s great.
